ABSTRACT SUBMISSION SUPPORT from NCUR:

Check out the  NCUR 2021 abstract submission guidelines – they have information for abstracts from all sorts of disciplines. It’s super helpful! You can also check out the NCUR Abstract Archive for abstracts from the 2018 conference.

SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT & REGISTER to be ELIGIBLE for ORSP FUNDING:

Step 1: Submit your abstract
Deadline: Dec 1, 2020
A. Visit the  NCUR Portal Login Opens in new window  and "create a new account" to get started. Use your CSUF email address to create an account (this is important for funding). Once you create an account, check two boxes for data privacy and click on the link to submit an abstract.
B. Create New Abstract: Make sure you have all your information ready: name, title, email, etc. Have your abstract already typed up in Word or some other program so you can copy and paste it into the submission spot. You must use your own CSUF email address to submit the abstract (do not use your faculty sponsor’s e-mail address to submit an abstract). You will also be asked for the "CSUF Undergraduate Research Office Coordinator." Type in: Dr. Terri Patchen, and use the email: SCAR@fullerton.edu. Your session will expire after two hours, so save your abstract within the time limit. Hitting "Submit" submits your abstract to NCUR.
Submissions will be accepted until Dec. 1. Check the NCUR FAQOpens in new window  for more information. It's easy!
Step 2: Forward your NCUR abstract submission acknowledgement email to   scar@fullerton.edu  – this is the email you get from NCUR confirming your submission was received. This will happen soon after you submit your abstract, so look for the confirmation email.
Deadline: Dec 2, 2020
Step 3: Next, when you receive an email confirmation from NCUR that your abstract was accepted, forward that email to scar@fullerton.edu with the subject line: Your Last Name NCUR 2021 (e.g., Patchen NCUR 2021). This email from NCUR should arrive by January 15, 2021. In the email you forward, include the following:
• Last Name
• First Name
• Email
• Presentation Title
• Major
• Faculty Mentor
We will let you know within a week about paying your registration.
The first 60 students to complete the steps above, will receive an email from   scar@fullerton.edu   indicating that CSUF will pay their registration fee. Multiple students on one presentation are welcome to apply for free registration, but need to forward abstract acceptances separately to   scar@fullerton.edu, as well as individually completing the requirements detailed above.
Step 4: When you hear back from SCAR with directions for registering, register for the event. We will tell you how to register so that ORSP pays for your registration (how nice is that!). So unless you want to pay for your own registration, DO NOT register for NCUR 2021 until you hear from   scar@fullerton.edu. We will provide registration and payment directions.
Important:
Students who miss the deadline or cut-off for free registration will receive an email from scar@fullerton.edu indicating that they must register and pay for registration on their own through the NCUR website. Registration support is for CSUF undergraduate students only.
Student registration support is sponsored by the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP). Thank you ORSP!!!
