Southern California Conferences for Undergraduate Research (SCCUR)

SCCUR is a one-day conference held each November on the campus of a college or university in the greater Los Angeles area.  This year it will be hosted by Pepperdine University. The purpose of the conference is to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of the research, scholarship, and creative work of undergraduates in the region, thereby recognizing excellence in undergraduate achievement. SCCUR aims to replicate professional and scholarly meetings; many undergraduate scholars often participate in SCCUR as a "first conference" experience, going on to present their work at national professional meetings. SCCUR showcases the work of undergraduate students across all disciplines and serves as a friendly, welcoming venue for undergraduates to present their scholarly and/or creative work in a poster session, 15-minute oral presentation, or exhibition/performance.

    •  SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT AND REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE

      • Step 1: Submit Your Abstract

        • Deadline: October 2nd, 2022
          • Visit the Pepperdine University SCCUR-Abstract Submission to submit an abstract.  Be prepared with your abstract title, abstract text (up to 250 words), the type of presentation, and your subject area. Include all participating authors, as well as determining who will be the “corresponding author” (the one who gets the information from Pepperdine SCCUR), and type in “CSU Fullerton” as the “Corresponding Author’s Institution.”

      • Step 2: Submit Your Abstract Submission Receipt:

      • Step 3: Submit Your Submission Acceptance to UROC:

        • When you receive email confirmation from SCCUR that your abstract has been accepted, complete Qualtrics Survey 2 . 
          • We will then send you the CSUF promo code to use in place of payment so that your registration fee is directly paid by UROC!
