IT Announcement – Phishing Email Alert

 

Some users have received phishing emails in their CSU Fullerton mailbox. If you receive an email that looks suspicious, please use the “Report As Suspicious” button in MS Outlook. 

 

To report emails as suspicious:

 

Some examples of the subject line of phishing emails include the following:

  • Act Now
  • Campus Employment Program
  • Employment Opening for All
  • Example of the subject Line:
  • Job Opening for All
  • Mailbox Limit Exceeded
  • Mailbox Re verification Notice
  • Notice of Termination
  • Quota Limit Exceeded
  • Termination Notice

 

What’s Required of me?

Please do not click on links in suspicious emails.  Please note that CSUF IT will never ask you for your password.
