Student Two-Factor Authentication

All currently enrolled students (includes Extension/Open University & OLLI) and incoming applicants are required to use DUO Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). 

When you log into campus services such as the Portal, Office365 and more, DUO will ask you to confirm your identity via your cell phone, mobile app or personal email address.

Apps using Microsoft Login

To expand the use of Duo security, other applications that use the Microsoft login page will also be required to use Duo 2FA. 

Which Apps are affected?

  • Outlook (PC, Mac, iOS, Android)
  • Microsoft Office desktop, mobile, and online apps (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, MS Teams)
  • Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Splashtop
  • Other Web Apps (e.g.,, Adobe Sign, and Smartsheet)
