The Department of Biological Science requires students to attend academic advising semester. If you have an advising question, email and we'll get you an answer.

First-time freshmen

Students in their first year at CSUF as Freshmen or Sophomores will be advised during several sessions by the Undergraduate Advancement Committee. If you have questions, contact and they will help you get advising. Attendance at group advising in BOTH the fall and spring is required to remove your registration hold. Check your CSUF email for information.

Continuing Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors

Every fall, each Biology Major is required to meet with his or her Biology Advisor. If you are not advised, you will not be able to register for spring classes. Every spring, Biology advising is required for recent transfers, candidates for Summer and Fall graduation, new majors, and students on academic probation; advising is optional for all other Biology majors.  Check your CSUF email for information. If you can't find the email, stop by the Department Office (MH 282) and ask.
