Work for Project RAISE

Project RAISE focuses on increasing the number transfer students who complete bachelor’s degrees and enter careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). It is funded through one grant: Project RAISER (Regional Alliance in STEM Education Refined).

Project RAISE employs CSUF students in many roles, including:

  • Peer Advisors (PAs) – mentor new transfer students at CSUF as part of the RAISE Transfer Program and visit partner community colleges to connect with students before they transfer. PAs work during academic semesters with optional summer work with the Undergraduate Research Experience. PAs must be transfer students or enrolled in NSM/ECS.

  • Student Assistants (SAs) – staff the Transfer Resource Center, a space for all CSUF students to study and engage with Project RAISE staff.

WE ARE HIRING!

Project RAISE student staff will gain leadership experience and become part of a broader STEM community that includes the Project RAISE network of faculty, students, administrators, and staff.  Staff will be ambassadors for CSUF’s College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (NSM) and College of Engineering and Computer Science (ECS) at campus outreach events.
