Violations

It is the philosophy of the California State University, Fullerton Department of Athletics to adhere to all rules and regulations as they are established by the university, the Big West Conference, and the NCAA. Coaches, staff, and student-athletes are encouraged to report any possible violations in which they may be involved or of which they may have knowledge. All members of the athletics program are encouraged to work together in this process.

Procedures: In accordance with NCAA regulations, all suspected NCAA violations or possible violations will be investigated. When the Director of Athletics determines that a violation has occurred, the compliance committee will meet, if necessary, to discuss the matter and determine the penalty to be applied. The Director of Compliance will then report the violation (or possible violation) to the Big West Conference office. The coach or staff member of the offending sport or department will be notified of the situation, and the file containing the write-up of the incident and follow-up action will be housed in the office of the Director of Athletics.

Chapter Related Forms: A summary of forms related to violations.

CSUF Policy For Reporting NCAA Violations: All coaches and department personnel receive a copy of this policy statement at the beginning of each year to assist them with the reporting of any violations which pertain to their own program or the programs of other NCAA member institutions.

CSUF Behavioral Conduct Policies: CSUF's Department of Athletics also has established behavioral conduct policies as they pertain to issues relevant to the behavior and conduct of its student-athletes.
