    Among Top 'Best Bang for the Buck' Schools Again

    For the second straight year, Cal State Fullerton leads the pack of "Best Bang for the Buck" universities in California and is No. 4 nationally, according to the publication's 2014 rankings.

    Fall Celebration

    Jazz pianist, composer and Grammy Award-winning arranger Bill Cunliffe headlines the University's annual Concert Under the Stars Saturday, Sept. 13, with a talent-filled lineup celebrating jazz through the ages.

    New Faculty Welcomed

    President Mildred García recently welcomed new members of the tenure-track faculty to the campus. Among the new faculty members she met with during an evening reception were Matthew Rathbun and Thomas Murphy, both of mathematics.

    Gravitational Wave Researchers Awarded Funding

    The National Science Foundation has awarded Cal State Fullerton a $119,791 grant that will go toward doubling the size of a supercomputer used by faculty and student researchers in the Gravitational-Wave Physics and Astronomy Center.

    University Singers at the Hollywood Bowl

    The University Singers will team up with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and composer and conductor John Williams for two nights of "John Williams: Maestro of the Movies," Aug. 29 and 30.
