Our New Titan Landmark

For decades, students, alumni and other members of the Cal State Fullerton community envisioned an iconic Titan statue that would capture the Titan spirit. The statue would reflect the ambitions, diversity and pride of Cal State Fullerton Titans past, present and future.

Through a collaborative and inclusive process, the Cal State Fullerton Alumni Association, Associated Students Inc., and Cal State Fullerton Philanthropic Foundation Board of Governors gathered campuswide feedback and, oversaw the design, and contributed funds for the creation of this Titan statue.

The statue, completed this year (2026), stands in O’Brien Square between the Humanities-Social Sciences Building, Gordon Hall, and Langsdorf Hall. Its height is 22 feet from the tip of its raised trunk to its giant foot. According to the artist, Michael Gray Palmer, the statue weighs more than 18,000 lbs., and is made of bronze, which he cast into an estimated 70 pieces.

Thank you to the campus partners and donors whose generosity will make this statue a reality after decades of planning. A special thank you to the O’Brien Family for their commitment to this project and support of their alma mater. We are honored to have this space renamed O’Brien Square.
