IT Announcement – Campus Network Infrastructure Upgrade

As part of the campus network infrastructure and security upgrade, the network infrastructure team will be replacing equipment on Tuesdays and Fridays from   Oct. 6, 2023, to Nov. 3, 2023 . As a result of the upgrade, the campus will benefit from increased bandwidth (from 20Gbps and 40Gbps) and improved network security.  The last upgrade was performed eight years ago.

When?

To minimize impact on campus activities, the upgrades are scheduled to take place from   11pm to 3am   on   Tuesdays and   Fridays   from   Oct. 6, 2023, to Nov. 3, 2023 . During the upgrades, on-campus connections to the internet will be intermittent or unavailable.    

What’s required of me?  

If you will be on campus and you need internet connectivity during the upgrade time slots (Tuesdays and Fridays, between the hours of 11PM – 3AM), IT can provide you with a MiFi for your internet connectivity needs.
