IT Announcement – Welcome Titans!

Welcome to the start of the Fall 2020 Semester! The Division of Information Technology is pleased to offer you the following tools and services to help you this semester.

1. Student IT HelpDesk

2. Outlook (New Student Email System)

Student email has moved from Gmail to Outlook. All incoming CSUF emails will be available through your Outlook account. 3. Technology Needs

Make sure you have the tools you need for virtual instruction! We have PC laptops, headsets, and webcams available to you for long term check out! If you need a device, please fill out a Device Request Form or ask your faculty to sponsor you and you will receive an email asking you to stop by our contact-less pickup at the Pollak Library south-side entrance.

4. Software

We offer a variety of downloadable software at no additional cost. These tools include the Microsoft Office 365 suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Dropbox, Zoom video conferencing, and more. View available softwareOpens in new window and download the tools you need today.

Zoom Video Conferencing and Google Hangouts Workshops

Many of your courses may use Zoom or Google Hangouts for virtual learning. If you need help, please sign up for one of our workshops, visit the Student IT Technology Tools webpage.

Kurzweil Accessibility Software Opens in new window

Kurzweil is an assistive technology tool that helps learners with dyslexia, English language learners or those who are blind or visually impaired be able to keep up at the same pace as their peers.

5. Canvas or TITANium

CSUF is transitioning the Learning Management System (LMS) from TITANium to Canvas. Your course materials can be found in either TITANium or Canvas. Check the ‘My Courses’ widget in your CSUF Portal to see which LMS will be used in your course. Check out the Passport to Canvas course located in your Canvas dashboard.

6. Virtual Labs

Need access to college-specific software? You can now connect remotely to our new Virtual Labs. Use software that would be available in your college computer labs; Adobe Creative Cloud, Maya, SPSS, AutoCAD, Solidworks, and more. Visit the Virtual Lab webpage for more information.


7. Titan Direct Access for Canvas

The Titan Direct Access eBook program gives students access to select digital course material, for up to 80% off the new book price. Students will have free access to the course material for the first two weeks of the semester.  You may then choose to purchase the eBook through Titan Shops. The Titan Direct Access program is available for select course material distributed through Canvas.

8. Digital Print Services

Our Digital Print Services is a full-service shop with friendly staff who can help you print poster boards, brochures, business cards, booklets, newsletters, invitations, wide 3D prints, and much more.  Please visit the DPS webpageOpens in new window to send your project and purchase with your TitanCard.  Contactless pickup for finished prints will be at Pollak Library South entrance.
