About
Known for his virtuoso watercolor paintings in the genre of flower and still life, Los Angeles artist Lawrence T. Yun has been exhibiting in galleries, museums, and other creative venues including Schomburg Gallery at Bergamot Station (Santa Monica), Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, Torrance Art Museum, Long Beach Museum of Art and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Yun’s works are represented in various private and public permanent collections, including Terranea Resort, Sony Pictures, The Franklin Mint and Brand Library and Art Center.
His work can also be seen in the television programs, including The Guardian (CBS), Eli Stone (ABC), Monk (USA Network), Luck (HBO) and the remake of Knight Rider (NBC), and movies, including Daddy Daycare (Columbia Pictures), Meet the Fockers (Universal Pictures), and Transformers (DreamWorks). Yun holds a Master of Fine Arts in Drawing/Painting and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from California State University, Long Beach. He has taught at Idyllwild Arts Academy, California State University, Long Beach, and Nanjing Normal University, China. In addition, he has conducted many art seminars for professional organizations including Watercolor West, Palos Verdes Art Center, and Manhattan Beach Creative Art Center.
