About

Professor Jewett collaborated on teams for 6-years to help make real the new buildings of the $65M Visual Arts Modernization Project, which opened in fall 2024. For 9-years she was Chair of the Art Department, one of the largest visual arts departments in the country. She worked with donors, succeeded in major fundraising, and helped initiate 5 new student scholarships. She helped hire 26 new faculty and staff and served on over 30 major university committees. She has represented CSUF for 12-years with the National Association of Schools of Art & Design (NASAD) and is now the Commission Chair.

She has shown her artwork nationally and internationally, and has received critical reviews in Art Papers, New Art Examiner, Contemporanea International Art Magazine, and The New Orleans Art Review. She received her MFA in Painting from Tyler School of Art at Temple University and her BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to graduate school she worked in New Orleans, Louisiana as a studio assistant for Ida Kohlmeyer and as a printmaker at the New Orleans Contemporary Arts Center. She lives and works in Los Angeles.
