About the Exhibition

Invocation of Almost: The Art of David Tibet showcased a large selection of the artist's paintings, drawings, and sculptures, reflecting Tibet's interest in and study of Coptic and Akkadian texts, shamanism, and spirituality. Invocation also included photo and video installations designed by Tibet, as well as ephemera from his para-musical group, Current 93. An entirely new musical composition was created by Current 93 especially for show, and accompanied film work by Tibet's long-term collaborator, video artist Davide Pepe.
