Seeing the Invisible: Life on the Streets

September 6 – October 11, 2014
Curator | Joanne Mace

About the Exhibition

Seeing the Invisible featured 22 national and international artists who give a voice to society’s homeless. Using a variety of mediums including video, print, installation, and sculpture the participating artists created works that narrate, document and advocate for the lives of those living on the margins of society. A goal of the exhibition was to highlight social activism and cooperation as a means to open discourse on the topic of homelessness to bring attention/awareness to the need for social change.

Donations of new or gently used clothing (socks are in high demand), blankets, sleeping bags, gift cards, bus passes, and tolietries were collected on  Oct 11 at the gallery. All items were directly distrubted to the locally homeless by Coast to Coast Foundation.
