Diploma Name Verification

Beginning fall 2023, graduating candidates can choose how their name is displayed on their diploma:

  • Primary Name
  • Preferred Name
  • Diploma Name

If no action is taken, the primary name will be printed as the default on the diploma. Students who want to select a first name that is different from their primary or preferred first name can use the diploma name option. Additionally, if a student lacks a middle name in their primary name and wishes to include one on their diploma, they can use the diploma name option to add it immediately after the desired first name. Please note that the last name must match university records. If a student wishes to change their last name, they must submit a name change request along with the required documentation to the Office of the Registrar.

If you wish to make any changes to your diploma name, please follow the instructions below:

  • Log in to your student portal using your university credentials.
  • Navigate to the "Academic Records" and then click on "Apply/Pay for Graduation" section.
  • Review your current diploma name and make any necessary changes.
  • Click "Submit" to confirm your choice.
