ADA Accommodations

Closed captioning will be available for each ceremony.

All ceremonies will be livestreamed on the web and closed captioned.

Only one guest will be permitted to sit alongside a disability-identified guest in the accessible seating area.

ADA seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. We will make every attempt to accommodate requests, but recommend you arrive early.

Accessible seating

Please note:

  • Accessible seating for guests at Titan Stadium will be located at the top of the stadium.
  • Accessible seating at the Intramural Field will be in a roped-off area on one side of general guest seating.

Accessibility for guests with disabilities will be available for all Commencement ceremonies. Seating is available in the reserved ADA section, with one companion seat.

Animals at Commencement

Cal State Fullerton welcomes service animals on campus, as long as they always remain harnessed and rest in the seating area of the individual with a disability. All service animals must stay in ticketed areas and may not block any aisle, hallway, etc. Service animals are working animals trained to perform tasks for the benefit of individuals with a disability including physical, intellectual, sensory, or psychiatric disabilities.  Animals whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the American with Disabilities Act.

Please leave pets at home for their safety and comfort as the commencement environment will have large crowds, heat, noise and confusion. Please note California State Law prohibits leaving an animal inside a confined vehicle.

First Aid Station

A first aid station for minor concerns will be located within the vicinity of both ceremony sites. Please ask a Commencement volunteer for direction. If you or someone around you appears to be having a medical emergency, please call 911 immediately.

Cooling station

In the event of inclement weather, a cooling station will be located within the vicinity of both ceremony sites. Please ask a Commencement volunteer for directions. Shade will be limited at both Commencement locations, so please plan accordingly.

Wheelchairs

Wheelchair seating is available, with one companion seat. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note that wheelchairs will not be available for public use. Those who may need them are encouraged to bring their own wheelchairs and mobility devices.

There will be a significant walking distance from the parking areas to the ceremony locations, so please plan accordingly. There will be a shuttle service to and from the ADA parking areas. Please note that shuttles may not be wheelchair accessible.
