Ceremony

Venue

  • Guests are not allowed in the graduate lineup area before the ceremony.
  • Ceremony locations are indicated on your guest tickets.
  • Ceremony site entrances will open one hour prior to the start of your ceremony.
  • Guests must present their tickets to be scanned before they will be admitted.
  • Re-entry is not permitted.
  • There is no assigned seating. Seating is first-come, first-served.
  • Guests are only permitted clear bags, no larger than 12”x6”x12”, to enter the ceremony venue.

Ceremony

  • The ceremony duration is 90 minutes.
  • Streamlined ceremonies: To improve the viewing experience, four additional ceremonies have been added to this year’s schedule for a total of 16 ceremonies. Each 90-minute event will feature fewer graduates while maintaining the same number of guest tickets (8) as in previous years.

Additional Ceremony Viewing Location

New indoor viewing option: For guests who prefer to stay out of the heat, an air-conditioned venue with large screens for livestreaming will be available in the Titan Student Union Portola Pavilion. Tickets are required, and standard security measures apply.

Ceremony Conclusion

  • Guests will be asked to exit immediately following the ceremony so we can prepare for the next ceremony.
  • All candidates should plan to meet their guests outside the venue after the ceremony. Please establish a meeting point with your graduate.
