Step 2: Register To Participate in Commencement (starts April 1st)
Commencement registration tile will appear in your portal starting April 1st. Register your Commencement participation via your student portal by April TBD.
All graduating students planning to participate in their college ceremonies must register in advance to attend.
You must have graduated in fall 2025 (January 2026).
Or
You must be in “CANDIDATE STATUS” for spring 2026 or summer 2026 graduation.
Students who have re-applied to graduate this academic year but have previously participated in a Commencement ceremony for the same degree are not eligible to participate again.
Step 3: Type and Record Your Name, Information, and Download Your Tickets.
In your registration form, you will type and record (in Tassel via your student portal) how you want your name to read on the screen as you cross the stage. This does not affect how your name is printed on your diploma.
Please make sure your name is accurately recorded. The recording you chose will be used to properly pronounce your name as you cross the stage. This recording must be completed by April TBD at midnight.
Your registration will create a unique Stage Pass QR code that will be used to trigger name announcement as you walk across the stage. You will receive your Stage Pass QR code at grad lineup the day of your ceremony.
Each graduate can claim eight tickets for their ceremony. Log into your student portal to access Tassel (the process is the same as when you logged in to register) Open your Tassel registration page and click on Tickets box. You will then have the option to email or print your guest tickets.
Guest tickets will only be available electronically via Tassel. Tickets are free and cannot be bought or sold. Tickets that are bought or sold will be invalidated by the university.
