Lois Bryan
In the theatre, as in the world I believe respecting and hearing everyone’s story and experience is vital. I know I need to always be learning. I know I have massive blind spots and biases and I am working daily to grow and change. As an immigrant whose skin color and nation of origin has not been the barrier it has to most of my fellow immigrants I know that my life and work must address these terrible truths. As a person who has spent most of their life in predominantly white institutions working in a HSI has further opened my eyes to the energy I must put in to change.
